Difference Between CV's and Resume's


CV is a long brief description of a person’s profile, while Resume is a summary of a CV showing detail on previous job experiences.

CV is Curriculum Vitae. It is a paper that shows brief profile of a person’s qualification for a job application mentioning experiences with previous occupation in a detail. CV can be used in an application that deals in the job field of armed forces, government jobs, services jobs, commercial services jobs, etc. CV commonly shows complete detail of personal information including school background, age, locations, status, physical natures not to mentioned all detailed work experience but also the accomplishments previous work.

Resume is a short summary of CV. Company human resources seeks resume to find persons profile emphasizing its previous work experience and duration of his services. In viewing work experiences may seek qualification for the position applied for. Big companies has databases and usually creates templates for a resume’s online to be filled by applicants so it will be easy to find using qualified applicant that s suites their requirements.

For the pool of applicants CVs and Resumes on its systems, it is commonly as an archiving method and to search for a workers when the company needs manpower, however for urgent hiring on priority positions may not require pooling and will be on actual basis of hiring.
